HB is a comprehensive childbirth ed program that’s evidence based. It covers the basics of what to expect in labor, how to move through the waves of contractions, and how to arm yourself with the knowledge of your options, how to talk to providers, how to relax, and how to birth with calm and confidence whether that’s unmedicated or otherwise.

There are numerous benefits that parents gain from HypnoBirthing that can be felt during pregnancy, birth, and while parenting. One of the most common reasons parents enroll in HypnoBirthing is because they are afraid of the pain that can accompany childbirth and they are looking for ways to cope, but they end up experiencing so many other benefits from the program. While we cannot promise a pain-free birth, parents who take our course do have lower intervention rates, fewer surgical births, and – you guessed it – lower rates of pain medication use. In fact, those who take the class have reported shorter births, more comfort, and happier babies.
Fear is the greatest contributor to birth trauma. You see, fear and pain can lead to parents accepting unnecessary interventions that lead to other interventions and possibly feelings of disappointment, failure, and trauma. HypnoBirthing helps parents approach their birthing day with more confidence and less fear.
HypnoBirthing parents are educated in the physiology of instinctive birth to help them better advocate for their decisions and know what questions to ask in choosing a supportive provider. Partners also learn how to support the birthing person by tapping into their connection with one another.
HypnoBirthing parents report:
Less Fear approaching birth
Fewer interventions and surgical births
Decreased use of oxytocics or AROM
Shorter 1st and 2nd phase labor
Fewer pre-term and low-weight babies
Lessened or eliminated need for analgesia
Happier and more content mothers & babies
Babies alert; able to nurse almost immediately
Few cases of post-partum depression reported
Infants with higher than average APGAR score

You second trimester is the ideal time because it gives you plenty of room to practice the techniques you learn in class. However, you could start in your first trimester and you can start in your third trimester. The only deadline is the birth, so you want some time to finish the class before labor starts.

HypnoBirthing has been chosen by hundreds of thousands of expecting parents throughout the world to prepare for the birth of their child. Educators report consistently receiving positive birth stories from their students, thank you emails for helping parents prepare for their birthing day, and testimonials about how grateful they were to be prepped with the tools and techniques to use throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Yes, birth is unpredictable and every birth takes its own unique path. While not every person who takes a HypnoBirthing class experiences a physiological birth, parents who have taken this course have reported fewer interventions and greater satisfaction.
We must dispel the myth that a HypnoBirth must be a pain-free, unmedicated birth. As educators, we never promise a pain-free birth, but we will promise to provide you with support, knowledge, and tools for achieving your birth goals, which will be unique to each parent. This program is designed to give parents the best chance at having a physiological, natural birth, while also preparing parents to navigate whatever path their birthing day takes.
So, as many hypnomoms can attest, yes, it works!
Please see my testimonies page or google reviews for my student and client accounts of their birth stories.
